METHAMPHETAMINE ABUSE PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION

U.S. CONGRESSMAN GREG WALDEN OF OREGON’S 2ND DISTRICT IS AMONG EXPERTS PARTICIPATING IN FORUM HOSTED BY A&E NETWORK, CHARTER COMMUNICATIONS, KOBI-TV NBC-5 AND THE SOUTHERN OREGON METH PROJECT

On Monday, May 12th, A&E Network, Charter Communications, KOBI-TV NBC-5, The Partnership for a Drug-Free America, and The Southern Oregon Meth Project will host a special town hall meeting to raise awareness about methamphetamine abuse, and to provide information about the ways in which families and communities can combat this growing epidemic, through prevention and intervention efforts. The town hall meeting will be held at the Smullin Health Education Center Auditorium on the RVMC Campus in Medford, Oregon, at 4 p.m.

Introduction to Biodynamic Agriculture

Biodynamic agriculture, conceived of by philosopher Rudolph Steiner, is a method of agriculture that treats farms as unified and individual organisms, emphasizing the interrelationship of the soil, plants, and animals as a closed, self-nourishing system. It is considered to be one of the first modern ecological farming systems, and focuses on the use of prepared manures and composts.

There will be a field visit to Seven Seeds Farm and lunch is included in the price.
